Terms and Conditions

Cancellation Policy

Clients are free to change or cancel a booking up to 24 hours prior to its starting time.  Within 24 hours of a booking’s start it is “locked-in” and cannot be adjusted or cancelled online.  Cancellations within 24 hours of the start of a booking or no-shows incur a cancellation fee of 50% the cost of the booking.  If we do not receive payment by another method Lynx will charge the credit card registered at the time the booking is placed.  To cancel within the 24 hour “lock-in” period, please call or email Lynx.

Same-Day Adjustments

Clients are free to change or cancel a booking up to 24 hours prior to its starting time.  Within 24 hours of a booking’s start it is “locked-in” and cannot be adjusted or cancelled online.  Lynx will try to accommodate same-day adjustments if we have availability and the adjusted cost is not less than original booking.  To make a change with the 24 hour “lock-in” period please call or email Lynx.

Payment & Credit Card Policy

Payment is due on the day of your session and is to be paid at the front desk of Lynx.  We accept cash, credit or debit.  We do not accept e-transfers.  For recording sessions we require payment to be made before entry into the room is permitted.

To make a booking Lynx requires a credit card to be registered.  No deposit payment is required, and we will not charge this credit card prior to the day of the booking.  We will only charge a credit card on file if we do not receive payment for a booking or in accordance with our cancellation policy.

Setup/Teardown & Cleaning

Clients may not enter the room before the start of their booking to set up and must be out of the room by the end of their booking.  Clients must return the room to its default condition within reason.  This includes returning anything that was moved to its original location, tidying up any trash or messes, exporting/saving any files, etc.

Backline

The backline for each rehearsal room is listed in that room's “Equipment List” on our website.  Anything that is not explicitly listed on the equipment list is not included with a room rental.  Additional equipment, cables, etc. may be available for a fee in addition to a room’s hourly rate.  A list of additional rental gear can be found on our website.  Clients are welcome to bring their own equipment.  A room’s furniture and equipment may not be removed.

Technical Support

Bookings at Lynx are primarily self-serve rentals of the equipment.  Clients are generally responsible for the setup, operation, and teardown of any rehearsal or recording equipment.  Lynx staff will assist as much as possible but are not generally available to help with anything other than a quick overview of our gear, or to replace any malfunctioning equipment, and they may not always be immediately available.  Support for any non-Lynx equipment is never guaranteed.

Connecting Your Own Computer/Compatibility in our Recording Rooms

Our Universal Audio Apollo interfaces connect by Thunderbolt 3 and require installed Universal Audio drivers.  We recommend downloading the drivers in advance from Universal Audio’s website.  You are also welcome to bring your own portable interface, or you can connect via 1/8” aux cable (playback only).

File Storage & Transfer

Lynx is not responsible for the storage or transfer of any files left on our computers.  Clients should ensure they have a storage device or other arrangements in place for any files.
